The Dean Performer Ultra Quilt Ash guitar is a guitar that one just wants to buy to have on their wall and look at, it’s that beautiful. It has a quilt Ash top and body, with a matching veneer headstock. The neck is a set mahogany slim C neck, with an ebony fingerboard and tailpiece.
I’ve noticed a few different fretboard inlays on the guitar. As shown above, they have the split box mother of pearl inlays, but I suspect that indicates that the guitar isn’t the ultra series. The ultra markers as shown below, looking like sideways Vs, or ultra crowns.
I really like the sound hole inlay, it’s a beautiful design.
The guitar has a 24 1/4″ scale, which is slighly smaller than the usual 25+” acoustics. It has Grover tuners, and B-Band A3TY preamp w/ a tuner built in, which is optionally upgradeable to the B-Band USB.
Interestingly, this guitar comes in three colors: gloss natural, trans blue, and tiger eye.
