The Dean Boca 12 is a very interesting bird. It’s a 12 string, semi-hollow guitar.
What I find remarkable about it is it’s a 12 string guitar, there aren’t many 12 string semi-hollow body guitars out there.
The Boca 12 has a (flame) maple top with a mahogany body. The fingerboard is rosewood, with abalone dot inlays.
The electronics are fairly standard, which I’m sure the custom shop would be happy to help you out with. Grover tuners, tune-o-matic bridge, DMT Design pickups.
The 2013 version is sold in three colours: classic black, trans amberburst, trans cherryburst.
I personally like the trans amberburst myself, I find that it provides a more beautiful looking Dean guitar. What I find interesting is the headstock. It’s neither in the formation of the straight six, or the classic series. It does, however, look to be a multiplied and distorted straight six type I find..
How do you like the guitar?
