Following on the Dimebag theme (see the ML series) The Dean Dimebag Series has the Dime Razorback, which has got to be one of the baddest looking guitars out there. It’s sawtooth looking cuts, with jagged razorbacks sticking out on every edge… it’s an axe that was meant for slaying.
The specs for the above X-Ray Razorback are as follows:
- Mahogany Top/Body
- 24-3/4″ Scale
- 1-11/16″ Nut
- Set Mahogany V Neck
- Rosewood Fingerboard
- Pearl Dime Razor Inlays
- Grover Tuners
- Black Chrome Hardware
- DBD Traction Knobs
- Floyd Rose 1000 Bridge
- USA DMT “DimeTime” Bridge Pickup
- DMT Design Neck Pickup
If you look carefully at the images, you’ll see that the bridges, pickups, and hardware change slightly for each of the guitars, with the DB series having less quality parts and the bolt on necks, but for the rest, the set neck, Grover tuners, and Razorback inlays are pretty standard.
It’s very hard to pick a favorite of these, as each one has a pretty sick graphic. I really like the Lone Star graphics, and the X-Ray is pretty sick too. I think it’s also hard to ignore the beauty of the limited run Trans Blackburst too though, especially since it’s a limited run of 100, which are all sold out now, or the Dixie Rebel with those awesome graphics.
Which one is your favorite?
