The Fender Stratocaster is arguably the most popular guitar out there. There are hundreds of companies that copy it, there are cheap knock-offs of it, there are a huge plethora of artists that use it, and their custom shop is enormously big and vast. Not to mention this, Fender has a cheaper shop that produces the Fender Squire, or the Mexican Strat. To get the best for your musica, you want to go with the Fender, made in USA, Stratocaster, if you’re going with this shape of guitar.
Even the Guitar Hero guitar is in the likeness of the Fender Stratocaster.
Think of guitarists like Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour of Pink Floyd (see below), Richie Blackmore from super group Deep Purple and Rainbow, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, George Harrison used on a lot, Buddy Holly, Yngwie Malmsteen, John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd are just a few that I will mention, but the list of less known bands or guitar virtuosos would be overwhelming.
The offer many many different series’s that I could only list for you, but in reality, so much custom creations and tweaking are done to these guitars that no two are really alike.
Instead I’ll just show you a few of the different colors they come in, and mention what variety you can go with.
The Cherry burst (below), which is red in color, is similar to the sun burst (above), which is yellow in color.
I like these ones if they are a little bit worn, but personally, I prefer the cream ones. They just look so much more ready to play. Do you remember the Wayne’s World where he sees the blonde Fender Stratocaster and he says: “one day she will be mine,” and he was about to start playing Stairway to Heaven on it and then he reads the sign that says: “No playing Stairway To Heaven”?
I digress.

A quick search on ebay shows that the same guitars go for around $800USD. Of course, this all depends on condition, originality, color, tonality, etc.
I would advise for you to get an exact date for your guitar manufacturer, for USA underwent a lot of changes in this time and depending on what side of the date you are on, it can increase/decrease the value. The best sellers, are the most aware.
